but I think I didn't quite communicate what I meant. I'm not in pain, my mother is. I did not choose to live a life of hypocrisy as my parents have. It is the hypocrisy of the politicians (usually right leaning Republicans - but not always, the right leaning Democrats tend to be more sanctimonious than hypocritical) who try to force their brand of "family values" on us, while their own private lives reflect a very different set of values.

Thanks for sharing
what has to be painful stuff.  We all have a lot to learn about the deep scars created by betrayal.  We spend so much time trying not to get hurt because the memory of being made a fool is too much to set aside.  Seeing those we love the most get hurt, and seeing those we are close to do the hurting just makes us that much more defensive.  Human progress is strictly a technilogical phenomenon, huh?
