tb - usually I buy wheat free pizza bases but the shop was out of them, hence the making from scratch. But I do like putting my own toppings on. I buy spelt bread and use spelt flour for pancakes.

pizza from scratch!
too much work! but i sympathize with the decision to go wheat-free. i've tried -- it's not easy. you can buy prepackaged stuff made with rice flour and i've made oat flour pancakes, and paul newnan's spelt pretzels rule -- but i still love bagels. tg

amazman - if at any time in your life you enjoyed playing with mud pies, you have to try making pizza dough at home! just make sure you arent waiting for a phone call..

We were just talking about...
Let's make our own pizza! Someone in the group said. Me and my friends are always trying something new or adding something else to our diet. First, it was the olive oil, then sea salt, then white pepper, etc...
After reading your blog, I'm sure if I want to attempt this. I've made pizza before but that at Both major pizza chains. They have hobart dough mixers, and everything is all measured. It's almost impossible to mess it up. But we managed to many times.
If at first you don't suceed...
take care...

Tapsel - you would have been rolling on the floor laughing at me! All I could do was hope the phone didn't ring...

Haha Ca88andra - I had forgotten how hard it is to cook for someone who
needs a wheat free diet ( and corn and every kind of grain imaginable except for rice). Until my allergy son got married I had to make every thing with Jolly Joan's Rice Mix.
