We had two cats,
alas one passed away this past spring so now we only have the "Grand Old Lady" cat who is 17, with a heart condition. I expect one more child running after screaming "I'm a dinosaur" and trying to "bite" her will do her in. After that I'm going to try and wait awhile before we get anymore - pets and toddlers aren't a great mix.

I'm not a pet person either. I feel the same way about pets as I do about babies - I love someone elses because I can give them back...

Yup...
enjoy coolness while you have it. I'm fighting any additional pets - however since Dad is on the Girl's side I'm doomed.
