- Go to How Are We Saved? The Bible Doesn't Know! (esp. for Neamer)
men's wonderings is what it is
varying views from bible writers.
Let's leave out the Book of Revelation -- that one's the hardest -- lots of metaphor anyway -- like it was added on to the rest -- about 200 C.E. a Church cleric decided that it would be included with all the other books of the New TEstament that we have.
I'll do another post about this -- some people just don't listen do they?
faith vs. works.
thre's a verse there somewhere that says we are saved even if we don't know we're saved.
I've written about Universal Salvation.
The ideas of course is the Law -- which condemns -- when we decide to judge according to standards, then we are condemning.
Salvation says forget those standards. You're ok. Get on with your life.
"Go and sin no more."
showing faith by works? . . . actually the faithful will be drawn to good works -- remembering the poor, etc.
you're already saved. the works come as a result, not as a necessity.
posting about New Testament next.

Witty, I believe the justification for this one is along these lines: if you truly have faith in the Lord and you truly believe you are saved, your works will reflect that.
However, whether or not this is true is questionable depending on the person in question.

Well, I'll tell you. If you see someone doing something that you feel will destroy them, you should say so as soon as you are mature enough to realize it. Then you can discover what thing you yourself are doing to destroy yourself. In that way, we save ourselves and others from destruction.
In my opinion, a person can only make judgement calls from the standpoint of witnessing a situation in person, otherwise, the damage caused by gossip and exaggerated rumors can be far worse than the actual problem, if there is one, whereas a direct word of advice can be subtle and effective.
