Scriber, I have the funny feeling that you are thinking about the word

Just joking, but seriously though-- I believe you validate yourself through your writing. You don't settle for anything less than what fulfills you in that respect.

HolyG. I agree. I truly believe that.
But for some reason, within ourself is usually the last place we seem to think of when we are hurting or doubtful. We seek validation in others. Maybe it goes back to childhood. Looking to our parents and being encouraged to do that. To seek approval from them above all else. Including above ourselves.
