It seems fine but oh my I don't miss writing academic essays. There is one point I would look at the mixed and rather busy metaphors about uphill and the level playing field . Simplify that

I am afraid I cannot comment properly on this...
but I will be paying attention to your blogs. I am also a dropout (just finished getting my diploma through adult education classes) but I would like to continue my education and go on to University. Your posts are giving me a taste of the challenges I will be facing (once I get enough money together to even try enrolling).
