Just don't tell the AAers there's alcohol
They don't need to know - tell them it's an old family recipe (it is if you say it is and besides, it's from my Mom's recipe file so it's MY old family recipe), and you can always call the beer a secret ingredient (lie and say it's not alcohol if you're so inclined, or tell them it's so secret you can't talk about it if you don't want to tell a white lie).

The alcohol evaporates as you cook so that the flavor of the grape is left. Any good alcoholic cook knows that! XENALIKE

i wonder
if i served this to my friends at the next AA fellowship potluck...you think they'd notice the beer and get pissed?
