Thank you MariVye. It was very difficult, but I picked five that mean something to me and, I hope, show different styles.

Pick the ones that speak to you the most and also the ones the have received the most praise from people who have read them. Best wishes on your decision and with the contest ~

My vote
Of the poems that you have posted here on this blog, I would pick "Wild Weather" and "Sunset", just my opinion. Good luck.

I haven't read ALL of them yet, but certainly, if it's eligible, you should submit I.
also, I haven't forgotten what we've chatted about, and aim to send you some info tomorrow.......you, on the other hand, have not sent me what I need to send over a shipment. ahem.

David - most of my poems (the better ones anyway) are already posted on this blog. Your opinion would be wonderful.

Thank you Tanoo - I will go through them all again and might ask for your opinion if you don't mind! I've only sent away to two competitions so far and got nowhere in either!

I know exactly what you mean, Ive gone through the asme submitting poems to a poetry contest and thought the poems werent good enough until they made it to the semifinalists... from then on I knew my poems were good enough and its usually the ones i hesistate upon and wonder if they are good enough are the ones that are truly heartfelt and moving.... good luck

let me know if I can help you in any way

Thanks Tanoo - I don't think number of lines matter in this one. I'm just not sure if the ones I like best are the best, if you know what I mean...

First see if a poem should be a certain number of lines... then read all your poems that fit the description and then see which one you connect with more and would make a great impression when read by others.... Good luck!
