Friar, you have never read the story Stone Soup?
It must be posted online somewhere. A person with nothing to eat begins to make a soup and first puts in a stone to boil, each person brings just one thing to add to the soup and finally, they all eat something delicious, because they all did it together, with small offerings.

Really, benzinha...
now that is the first time I hear about Stone Soup.  Hmmm, perhaps the good Archbishop's idea wasn't original after all.

Friar, like neighbors sharing Stone Soup! School children in America

in some school district or another, saving and gathering 'useless' pennies, which we Americans sweep up and throw out with the trash if there is only one on the floor, and leave on the ground usually if we see one outside, put together three million dollars. Small children did this. Anything is possible on this Earth, with faith and some small efforts at small things.

I now religiously pick up pennies and save them for a new computer!! But, I give dollars to the poor who ask and so, it's not working out so well, as yet.

Congratulations to the community for this 'small' thing that they are doing and may they have much and many small successes.

Precisely...
and it is easy to understand too.

Friar - I like your "Theology of Crumbs". It also brought to mind

"The Widow's Mite".   There is never anything that is too small to be used by God.
