It just seems so wierd to me that two people who have never before met have had the same experience with a mean caniving wicked old MIL!!! I am truly sorry you went through this crap. In any case, I can totally relate. You described my MIL to a tee in that comment!!! I was laughing pretty hard!

I agree, it is a form of insanity!!! And it's true that now I know how I don't want to turn out...I wouldn't call her a witch either... I hesitate calling her a human being!!!

SHE HAS A TWIN.. I SWEAR
I swear to all that is holy, evil walks the earth and it has many forms. She is my mother in law MADE OVER. NOTHING, NOTHING is ever good enough, if you are lucky enough to recieve a compliment from the unholy one, it is intertwined with how or why it could be better. Will smile (just because people are looking and might catch on about the 666 burned in her scalp) with a "Oh, I better smile, but I am so much better than this" smile. comes over and walks around my house looking at the color of the walls as if the horrid color will leap onto her liz wear clothing, step over the stains on my carpet (from her nasty ass son her perfect ass raised) as if they were holes back into the portal of hell she lept from. I get damn heartburn everytime that bitch says shes coming over. She won't even drink from my glasses. I had to buy special glasses for just when she visits, and I still see her in a corner looking at it. COW!!

I won't call her a witch--
That would be insulting to witches. Thank goodness you have kept your sense of humor about her. What a nasty, self-centered person. It's a form of insanity; they walk the earth freely, and it's too bad. At least you will have a great example of what kind of mother-in-law you
don't want to be.

At least she makes life interesting . . .
It's never boring with such absolute irrational behaviour, no?
Just remember that the grass is always greener . . . .your beautiful life with a husband and child sounds pretty damn amazing to someone without any stability or companionship. You do sacrfice a bit in the way of freedom and carefree whims when you take on such responsibilities, but there's no one for me to go home to day after day, no one to carry the burden of life for even a moment. We choose our paths for a reason, I think - it's what we need most, otherwise we would be somewhere else, you know?
If you were some crazy no-strings-attached top-down girl, you'd be lonely.
*smile*
Still, it's fun to imagine how the other half lives, no?
Much love,

The vegetables don't stay as warm when you cook them in the microwave...
I don't have time to dust either. Of course when I was your age I was more focused on the impression I gave to other people when they came in my home, not like nowadays...Sound familiar? I will pray for you.
