Yes, they do.
In fact, when we are going to be gone a lot, I set a timer to turn the tv on and off and have it set on Animal Planet. They usually like the animal and bird shows, but sometimes it's odd what will catch their attention. Their favorite watching spot is on the cedar chest in our bedroom, snuggled into a couple of afghans.
