Just got back from a Labor Day week end motorcycle trip and read your post. I agree whole-heartedly. I've often wondered about my guilt-ridden days as a scared-straight, toe-the-line Christian. I had a good life, and felt blessed. But today, as a more open, questioning Christian who does not have the same beliefs he once had, I am more blessed than ever. I have a wonderful wife to share my life with, a great set of friends, and good family to enjoy. I don't concern myself with what-ifs. What if I lose my job? What if I get a chronic illness? I know things will always work out because I know I am on the right path. I may not have all the answers, nor know if the direction I am going in is always the correct one, but I know I will get there.
