I feel sorry for people like PIMP
who will never know the true joy of struggling toward the humane, toward love, as Jesus did when he bravely reformed the old, evil ways.  Ironic that the Reform Jews are better Christians than the Born Agains.  West---I have been in a three day coma, clinically brain dead, and I have seen what it is about. I wish I could be as open and calm and kind as I need to be; it is hard; my nature is that of the warrior.  But there is no winning. I have already seen this.  There is only that place of peace and  total understanding.  You have reached that place.  When your time comes, remember I told you so.  You are there, brother.

P.I.M.P.
there is darkness and there is darkness
there is light and there is light.
all who are sincerely faithful seek the light
each person sees his or her own light who is seeking such.
as the Gospel of John hints -- neither light nor darkness can understand the other
each path toward seeking the light -- it's like many tunnels
the light is there ahead -- but around is the darkness
and sometimes we don't see that the other person is walking toward the same light.
I believe I am and I believe I am pointing my finger in the direction of the light that I am seeking.
those of us who see the light, whether you or me, we see the light -- we should be pointing down the path for others to take a look at where we are pointing so that they can determine whether the path is suitable for them.
If we point and they then decide that we are pointing correctly, then they will follow our path. Then we can say we have done our job.

You're right.
We should all repent of obsessing about things that never happened.

You're talking about religion. I'm talking about the truth which is something you can't really relate to because you live in DARKNESS.

born from above
that which is of the spirit is spirit.
born of the spirit

in the mind

in attitude.

turning the head in a different direction.

people can profess god and jesus vehemently without being christian -- we should not maintain like the pharisee at the altar that we are thankful we are not like sinners -- we should recognize that we are sinners every day -- it is not a restricted "tube" of contact between us and god -- it is an ever growing sphere between us and others.

religion is not exclusive.

I think you are right about “smug”

It has been said, “many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.”

God is not slack concerning his promises

"And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sins-; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the Lord said unto Moses, whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book."  Exodus 32:31-33

"And the children of Dan set up the graven image: and Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, he and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land. And they set them up Micah's graven image, which he had made, all the time that the house of God was in Shiloh." Judges 19:30,31

"Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone" Hosea 4:17

The tribes of Dan and Ephraim both fell into idolatry and had their names blotted out according to the word that God spoke unto Moses.
