Some people's truth IS a plague
What I don't get is how folks love that angry, condemning, cursing God...and then claim to be followers of Jesus. An eye for an eye or turn the other cheek? Turning the other cheek is so much more demanding than that earlier justice. Being in Christ means being in Christ. There is a philosophy to Christ which turned the world on its ear and led to the concept of the humane, to the enlightenment. Maybe it's time people quit shouting all that doomsday rambling at one another and begin practicing some of Christ's ways. Oh--but that would mean promoting charity and socialism, taking care of our neighbors. Much more fun to threaten folks with hellfire than ask them if they need a hand.

By all means westwind, there is no wrong doing in testing for Truth.
The statements of all Prophets in all books…are to be tested for Truth. God has nothing hide. It is mankind that is guilty twisting The Truth, taking what has been said and twisting it into fantasies and fables. People run from The Truth, like it is a plague.
