there are true scriptures
and then there are those that invite skepticism.
this is one of those.
as i say, myth is the parent of disbelief.
the incident might be true -- but -- it is not the way god as I see god works.
it is something that could have happened and then the bear eating the boys was attributed to god's wrath by a subjective writer.
a god like this that destroys young boys because of what young boys do (I've seen plenty of them do things like this to people and halfway wished for such a fate) is not worthy of worship.
i'LL WRITE A BLOG ABOUT GOD'S PUNISHMENTS.

You cannot see the truth of the scriptures because you live in unbelief and walk in darkness. "For the prophesy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" II Peter 1:21

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God," II Timothy 3:16.

Why do these fundamentalists relish
the cruel God and ignore the teachings of his son even as they claim to be born again? It baffles me. The translation of the Bible is filled with so many obvious consistencies, it can hardly be taken for fact. And it was written during a certain time in history--how so much has changed. Like all great literature, it is timeless through the totality of its message, through the spirit which does make its way into the prose, time and again.

I'd get more sleep if I could hide the Easter eggs in the day for my kids to find them in the evening. We're all tainted by bias, the KJV translators included.
