Here.  I wrote a little poem this morning, and maybe only you can appreciate it.

The Wrath of Mom-in-Law

She descends,

like the drunken man

on the unwary child,

Instructing in her mindless wrath

of things she doesn't know.

Paranoid and fearing,

she has come to you

from the hand of a wayward man.

She is an echo

of her past.

But you have cut her short,

and recognize

her irrational attack.

It was you

who stopped

the drunk

from speaking

to your child.

Your marriage has

no place

for her.

Except that the girl-goddess Lucifer wishes to rule has a heart the size of a small planet and a brain to match, and can therefore never be under *any*one's rule but her own . . .

Yes Dev dear, I too am suffering from the downside lately, and your words are often exactly what I need. Just knowing there's another pair of eyes out there with heart and soul -- I believe the universe gives us the tools and people we need to survive any obstacle, we just need to know who and what to consider our blessings. You're on my list.

my dad had a 6th grade education and is the smartest man I know.  To help hubby study, read his textbooks to him whenever the two of you are driving.  You'll know everything he knows!  Who needs a stupid piece of paper when you've got a perfectly good brain!
