Talion, I think it's because the hardest thing to do is to know yourself.
To look and dig deeply into the hidden and/or forgotten parts of you, not just the surface of what is easy to be, but of who you really are. Sometimes I have to remind myself to just be still and listen to the silence, which can be very hard sometimes.

It makes me wonder why we have to "dare" to tread in those places.

Hello, Symphony. Yes. I am okay, thanks for asking.
I am still out of state visiting so I can't get to Blogit as often as I'd like. You are great, hope all is well with you.

Wow, Billy. That first line reads like poetry.
I read it a few times because I love the look and feel of the wording and it's imagery. Thanks.

tremacc, per your request, from my Decadence blog:
icelandic goodbye
tonight i walked back home and the lights streamed acrss the sky like a winter ghost who didn'tknow its time had passed. Perhaps I'll see them tomorrow night because I'm going camping in celebration of a long weekend. But I suspect tonight is my last visit from aurora borealis until next winter.
There is more in the post but thats all there is about the lights...

HolyG, yes it takes a lot of daring I believe to dive in.
Kind of like plunging into the deep end of the water and then realizing that it's not as bad as you thought it would be and that it is actually pretty refreshing and invigorating.

Glad you think of it as resuscitation rather than something of which you are completely terrified!
