The Most Ancient Religion

(in modern terms) is that of the most ancient civilisation we know about. At the moment that is Sumer, 6000 years ago. Their 'gods' came down from the sky, walked about and taught them everything. They also lived for a long time, although they eventually died on Earth. The 'Epic of Gilgamesh' includes a flood story that is very, very close to the one we all know and love. The Chinese also have religious stories going back over 4000 years, as do the Hindus. There are plenty of others.

You will not say that the Kingdom of God is here or there, for the Kingdom of God is within you...that's pretty much a quote from the new testament, very close to the words of Christ when asked where the Kingdom of God Shall appear... it's cited in more than one of my earlier posts...

Exactly - people need to understand religion is a path, NOT the destination. The destination's the same.

there has to

be a christ in order for there to be christianity.

the new testament makes plain that before Yeshua's crucifixion and before a set of events following this, their was no salvation as the christian religion teaches -- Paul's letters make that very plain.

besides, it was in Antioch that the followers were first called "Christians", after the Greek word and concept.

Most ANCIENT???? Are you on crack? Even Judiasm predates Christianity by several thousand years, and considering Jesus was a Jew, you'd be hardpressed to claim its fake.
