Thanks for the information. I'll keep researching. And I guess I'll just have to accept getting a comment or two along the way, because I am not looking for controversey, just looking for truth.

Sannhet -- I was speaking of a villification that took place 30 years ago

Sadly, too recently in our history people would attack a person undertaking a study such as mine. Especially when one parrallels the Gathas ( holy scriptures edited but probably not entirely authored by Zarathushtra ) as being the inspiration for much of  the works found in the bible. Zarathushtra, was a man turned prophet in the later stages of his life and yes adherents to Zarathusism are following his spiritual teachings. He is not considered a God however, as God's son incarnate as man, came later in mythological history. In his teachings he defines the embodiments of good and evil, positive and negative. The notion of the myth of Satan is clearly extracted from this work in it's entirety to be used in the bible.

There are countless other examples of his teachings being absorbed into many other holy books but especially the Koran and the Bible. These facts are something people simply don't want to hear. The bible is the word of God to many and the fact it was hardly an original work flies in the face of that belief.

I don't think your blog is being overlooked because of any form of villification. It may be due to a topic that a lot of people don't want to hear about but is probobaly due to the fact you are not loud or controversial in your approach.

Thanks for the name. I came across it the other day, but haven't looked closely at it. Is that the God that Zorastorism is based on? And as far as villification goes, while I don't think I am being villified here, I wonder if writing about this topic is unpopular, since I am receiving few comments. That won't stop me, just wondering.

Sannhet -- you have inadvertantly hit on an area where I have done fairly
extensive study. Wrote a paper on this very subject a number of years ago. Back then it was very unusual for a person to study all of the world's religions and mythologies objectively. The notion of simularities between so many differing cultures was not met with open arms if you can imagine. Quite often I was villified for my effort. If you have a genuine interest in this I found a good place to start was with the first major prophet Zarathushtra.
