The Collective Unconscious...
...can indeed be affected by all sorts of things, but the way IT affects ME feels very specific right now - around marriage and the forty thing.

Not analysing is probably the best. I just don't want to fall into any of the traps I fell into last time.

Thanks for stopping by.

The collective unconscious can be affected by any number of things
It could be Olympics or the weather.
Marriage - hmmm - I don't analyse it much any more. I am fortunate that my husband and me allo each other to pursue our interests, nay we encourage each other. Like Talion's wife I didn' change me name and and I can see that some people can't comprehend that.

SpitFire...
...thank you very much! No, it is going well, but I've just hit this low-energy, low-interest phase which is frustrating, but it'll pass, as all these things do.

On the plus side, T & I 'connected' beautifully last night, and that's helped a lot!

Thanks for reading.

Talion...
...I haven't noticed this yet - though, now I come to think of it, certain people are calling less!

Thanks fopr the heads-up, and thanks for reading!

DamonL, Congrats on the marriage!
I know what you're saying about the "feeling different" kind of thing once married. Me and M just reached our 6 months of marriage and we still couldn't be happier. I find that many unmarried people (especially those whom are divorced) seem to shed a negative light on the whole marriage thing. I knew you were getting married sometime in July or August, but couldn't remember before, so I'm glad you posted this. Happy Birthday, too!!

I'm thirty-six and next month will bring my second anniversary. I've noticed that things are different now that my wife and I are married. It's not so much with us as it is by the way we are treated, the way that others interact with us. I really can't explain it, but it's true. She never changed her name and when others realize it, you'd think we spit on "tradition." It must be this collective unconscious thing.

Wiley...
...if the moon controls the tides, and we are 80% water, than of COURSE the moon has some control over us, too! You're not the only one to go loopy on a full moon!

Aaaaawoooooooooooo!!!!

Thanks for reading!

Thank You!!

Damon

My Gawd, and Joyce used to warn me when a full moon was coming because of my proclivity towards insanity at that time of the month. Man, I would've  had a hell of a time there.

CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES ON THE MARRIAGE!

My husband and I have both been married before.  We vowed before we were married that when we did it, we wouldn't act married.  Know what I mean?  Now when I feel things are on the verge of us taking each other for granted, I'll tell him, "we're married".  LOL  His reply usually is  "We are NOT". :)  Seriously, we try to avoid that marriage trap.  As for the 40th.  I turned 40 last year and made a big personal celebration out of it.  Oh yeah, you read that post......:)  and you did promise a story about your wand......lol.  Well, I'm turning 41 in a couple of weeks and so far, the 40's have been awesome.  Welcome to them!  Happy Birthday early!

msaries...
...thank you!

Perhaps we could come up with a list of possible hits by The Collective Inconscious? (Actually, I know some guys who have a band, and they could easily rename themselves The Unconcious Collective!!)

Thanks for stopping by!

The Collective Unconscious sounds like the name of a rock band.

Happy one month anniversary, Damon!
