Trite, but true.....
...the book is always better than the movie, esp. for Stephen King's work. I think that was one of his complaints as well. The book "It" was a major scare for me, but when I saw the movie, what a loser. The movie "Thinner" could never compare to the book. And on and on...

I hate Stephen King Movies!
Because I have ALL of his books, and NEVER will anyone be able to place inside your head, the things that his words do, it just comes out looking silly on the screen!!

If you forget it is supposed to be horror, it aint bad. As you said, some of it is actually good.
