right - will never know if we are entertaining an angel or God... In the Bible it is written that Jesus said that if you feed the hungry, visit the prisoned etc. you may be doing this unto God himself!!!!

actually whatever we adore and respect we are worshiping

you're an old rebel,westwend
The idea of an authority figure, supreme over all creation, rankles your hippie soul, doesn't it? Just funnin'.
Thanks for wondering about me. Blogit is a serious temptation for me. I could spend hours reading and writing here, but that's not possible for a mother of seven(and wife of one!) I'm still teaching my boys through the summer and we've been knuckling down to square roots and meteor showers. My late night blogging has been replaced by stargazing.(It's the middle of the Perseid Showers) Been reading more books, too. Gotta have something to say, ya know. Any suggestions?

You-look-fabulous
and since god's identity is pretty well a secret, then we should be careful how we treat whom we meet -- that might be god -- Paul said "angels unawares" doesn't matter -- we gotta do our best.

The identity of God is a secret.

Otherwise, we would all know God better.

Commiserates?
I think worshiping God is a wonderful thing.  I thought I conveyed that in my post on worship.  If I commiserate anything it is our distorted perception of it and the improper worship of other things.

Westwend
I just read your comment about my "Are we Gods" post and stated there that while I agree that we are divine and moving toward Godship, we have a long way to go before we are Gods. But after reading this post, while the little Lutheran boy in me wants to shout "NO!", I am beginning to come around a bit more. If we act like Gods as you suggest, and act in a loving manner by loving each other, then we can overcome our ego (which for me is the biggest stumbling block we have in becoming enlightened) and truly be Gods.
