Hi decshak. I was raised catholic
embraced protestantism as my understandings changed, and now see yeshua as one of a succession of avatars to show christ incarnate in all of us as a continuation of the ancient religions from the dawn of history. I am reading a book by NealStephenson called the baroque cycle that fictionalizes some of the alchemical, humanist, and physical philosophies you mention. I will take a closer look at some of the terms and people you mention. I admit ignorance of much of what you speak. I can only say that I believe that the growth of spirit and soul represents the best of what humanity can aspire to.
The latest readings in THE PAGAN CHRIST are closing with the author's doubts that a historical JESUS ever existed but that should not stop us from seeking the CHRIST in all of us.

I gather that you lean in the Protestant direction, then,
for it was the Catholics who did exorcisms. My questions all arise from late 15th, early 16th centuries, when Trithemius was writing in Latin, about occult or magical theology, which was really cryptology under the cover of various sets of jargon such as alchemy, astrology, the cabal, Greek mythology, etc.... I am trying to also decode the Voynich manuscript, by the way....

Decshak-
I do not believe in demons... any message for good or evil originates within us mediated to us by KRST or Christ within us. Therefor I guess we are angels or demons depending upon whether we are experiencing heaven or hell at the moment.

Excellent question decshak. I will consult a dictionary at the library.
I got some of that but not all of it. I tried to read some of Northrop Frye's works but for myself I am unable to approach the bible as more than a modern reiteration of mythologies manifested by religions even preceeding the Egyptians and continuing until they were literalized for whatever purpose during the third and fourth centuries CE. The Great Code is tantalizing but beyond me. What I am asking, I guess, is if it is possible for literalists to go beyond subjectivity and biblical self-reference to prove to others the validity of their views. I was stuck in a bad place for many years because I couldn't get completely off of the mindset that the historiscists and literalists insisted I needed to be on if my soul was to be saved. The texts I listed are for lay folk who do not generally have knowledge of Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic but are full of sources and references. For those who need to go further. Thanks for coming by.

A friend of mine tells me it is her pleasure to help me with my questions
about the Bible. The latest question I asked her, "What can you tell me about 'divine inspiration' since one of Trithemius' 'necessary ingredients' to practice his steganography properly (please see my most recent posting to "Some Raw Notes From Decshak") is divine inspiration." She and I had previously discussed telephony, regarding angels. I was asking her for her knowledge about the Bible's information about telephony beyond angels, this time. Is there a place that it could mean "God-given intelligence"? Or should I stick solely with a meaning of "religious" sources of information as opposed to specifically demonological possibilities.
