And yes, it is evolving! What's that saying: It increases at an increasing rate! That's basically what is happening.
People are thinking for themselves now. Well, they always did that I guess. But the free thinking society that we have evolved into is leading us to "express ourselves" like never before. Those who are thinking and expressing themselves freely start to see the obvious holes in the traditional beliefs; and are looking elsewhere to get their beliefs in check. Maybe to get some of the facts straight. They are looking for something they can actually feel comfortable with. Not what they were told to "fear". And they are finding it, everywhere.
I know that just by reading about the "Gnostic Gospels" years ago, by accident really, it started in motion for me, a notion that I had been lied to (or mislead). I had questions; and the Catholic Church provided no viable answers. So of course, I decided to look elsewhere. Year after year, revelation after revelation, I myself "evolved" spiritually. Organized religion in it's present form, for me at least, has become totally obsolete. There was a time when I afraid to opnely say that. For me that FEAR was the single biggest roadblock. But then again I grew up learning to fear God, so it's not all that surprising, is it?
Today I am more or less a Theosphical Spirit, but that can change too. Gomedome has touched on the fact of a rapid movement towards a higher sense of self, of consciousness, of spirit. I see it going in that direction too. I welcome it with open arms, and open heart and an open mind!
