I agree with you poet.
I got tired of being around people who condemned drink altogether. It felt sterile. It's an extreme just as alcoholism is an extreme. I think it's the extremes that are bad.
If I can't have a glass of wine without being afraid that my Christian friends will judge me, then there's something wrong with my Christian friends, not me. They go praising Jesus every week as Lord of all, and he drank wine. It was his very first miracle at the wedding. But no wine at my Christian wedding - I thought that sucked. And then the jerk divorced me anyway.
