Thanks for the welcoming and the comments.I hope you are right and that we will be celebrating long-term same-sex marriages as openly as we do heterosexual marriages today.  And congrats on your successful long-term marriage.

Hi sannhet
I hope your wife's nephew and his partner find happiness. Not so long ago people would have been aghast that I had married a Chinese woman. A few years before I got married my sister married a Japanese man. As we were leaving the church one of my aunts had the audacity to say that these mixed marriages never last very long. Well, that twenty-some years ago. I have a feeling we will be celebrating many same-sex anniversaries in the decades to come. By the way welcome to Blogit. I saw a comment at westwends site. Nice to meet you.

I agree completely

Same sex pertners may not be everyone's favorite thing to think about, but spreading hate will only make things worse.  Condemning two people who only want to love each other is just stupid.  If they want to be happily in love who is anyone to tell them it's wrong.  I hate it when I hear "followers of God" speaking blatantly dorgotory and hateful of homosexuality.  God would not want anyone to posess such hateful feelings in their hearts.  And for all those people who see homosexuals as their enemies...LOVE thy enemy - and get over yourself!
