For over half a century, sociologists have blamed the rise and tolerance of Nazism on the defects of the "German character". Bullshit. The majority, albeit a small majority, wants this cartoonism, fanatic, patriotic nationalism and fall for it very readily. That's why we have the Constitution--to protect the minority with common sense. And Christian fundamentalism is having the same effect on people's minds as Muslim fundamentalism has on the other side of the world. Thanks of the ACLU clip. I am a member. Another point: people in Germany really did NOT know about the camps under their very noses. This was the power of Hitler. Fire people up and they simply will not see the reality destroying them. And the worst of them? The Hitler youth indoctrinated since childhood. And those little boys were brutal animals, the worst bullies imaginable. So get ready...

Powerful post Paul!
Yes, it is sickening and hard to digest more of the horror this administration pours endlessly. But we must keep the outrage strong and loud; don't let people forget because it's easy and less painful...Keep it coming!! That last line should be emblazoned on t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc. It says it all.
