Melody, you've experienced and lived through a lot...
that makes you a survivor in my book.

Moondawg, your willingness to help is greatly appreciated! Might take you up on the offer if things go badly.

For so many years
the only way that I could keep the nightmares away was to basically drink myself into unconciousness. Back then the nightmares were always with me, even during the day. This was not a solution as the drinking would only make more problems for me to havbe to deal with. There are many of us here who are willing to help in anways that we can. Just being able to communicate your feelings with other people who can relate, will often times be of much help. I am always will to share and help in anyway that I possibly can, all you have to do is ask.

Star, I used to listen to the radio in the middle of the night and then wonder if the shows were pre-recorded and I was the only one alive.  I have also played the time-zone game--if it is 3:00 AM in California, who do I know on the East Coast that I can call at 6:00 AM.  Nights can be terrorizing...

Star--those early morning hours are often the worst; sun comes up soon.

I was going to leave an encouraging comment, but MiaElla has said it much more eloquently than I could have done.  Hang in there!  Good moments often arrive when we least expect them.

Life

Is a series of unhappy events - the good moments should be savored, the happy a mirror to look back on when sadness is all that is left, live the good moments like they'll last forever and the bad like forgotten thoughts.
