Jemmie, I saw a movie once starring Jack Nicholson where he got nominated for an Oscar, 'Schmidt', I think. The whole movie centred of all things on toilet manners. Your blog resonates because little things in life, we take for granted.
I have a friend who grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth so to speak. I used to joke with her how she would survive in a world without perfumed toilet paper? One day not very long, she was involved in a kidnapping by terrorists while vacationing with her husband in an island paradise. For almost two months, they lived in the high seas and mountains, being dragged like cattle and performing the usual ablutions in the worst possible human conditions. She survived to tell her story and when she saw me recently, she said' I know what's your unasked question is' but I am proud to say that I did survive and God provided what I needed. I cannot explain it any other way.'
