You expressed yourself well on this touchy subject. I want to agree with you in principle on just about all you said, except on the M. Jackson thing. I still think his actions were criminal. Criminality, is a matter of knowledge and intention. But I'm still impressed with your expressions on the subject.

Yes I agree
I don't think the school is the best place to pick people up. But as the media characterizes it as "teachers taking sexual advantage of students." I don't think that's what this particular case is. This boy was a willing partner I think. Sure it's a bit sick but he asked for it and he got it. Did he have the wisdom to make such a decision? Probably not but I just can't view this as sexual abuse.

It's very unprofessional to have sex with students. If they want to get laid, how hard is it to go to a bar and pick someone up. Is it necessary to go and prey on kids? There are laws against having sex with kids.
