Gita, I understand your fascination with energy and I DO know the
difference between black magic and the magic of pure energy. The thing is, God has ultimate knowledge of right and wrong and what is best for us. When we go manipulating energy, we often mess with free will or the will of the universe. So, I say, prayer and meditation are the best way to go, and running everything by God's ultimate will is ultimately best for everyone involved. Thanks for reading!

Saving People
Hey Ari!, Religion is basically cultural. I really love "Vodou". I have been a practicing born-again Christian with all the crap attached. I am a practicing Yogi, but Yoga is a spiritual science and not a religion. Beliefs are so misunderstood, like Wicca and Vodou(aka Voodoo). People tend to confuse earth religions with black magic. Black magic is just black magic.
There is an area that transcends all this religion stuff. Everything is energy and religions and belief systems are only ways of working with energy, which is "All-That-Is". This is the candied yam opinion of old Guru Gita. Ha! Love,From Gita's World.

Enough said!
I try very hard to convey that same message, I fall short most of the time. I refuse to quit trying. Ariala, you have become one of those people who remind me I am on the right track.

Amateur, yeah, a lot of times Christians get caught up in numbers, and
lose sight of real people. Thanks for reading and your interesting comment. I had never heard that term before.

This is a good post. The paragraph that mentioned about being kind to people reminds me of something. One of the Chinese dialects in Singapore describe Christianity as the 'eating religion' (translated literally).
I heard many years back that when the Western missionaries operated here during the colonial times, they ministered to the numerous local poor people (most of them homeless beggars) by giving them food. That was how this term in dialect came about. I am not sure about the number of people converted, but this act of kindness certainly left its mark. Perhaps it is time for Christians to remember this spirit again.
