My thinking is the same...

My oldest daughter goes to public school and I was talking to her about homeschooling and she looked at me like I had two heads.  "You mean you actually want her to stay home with you?  Why don't you let her go to school and make friends like normal kids?" she asked!  I had to laugh.  How typical.  The public education has already gone to her brain.

Everyone around me seems to want me to choose public school, too.  I just keep going over it again and again...I'm not sure what I'll end up doing, either.

Hard to say. I am thinking so much about it I feel like I've worn a groove

in my brain over it.  Everyone else seems to think I should send her off to school like everyone else does.  They express disbelief that I don't want to 'be rid of her for a while'.  ?????  Am I the only person who a) likes my kids and b)wants to do what's best, not easiest????

I'm in the same boat...
I would like to homeschool my daughter but she's interested in both.  She's only three, though so we have a couple years to iron this out.  What do you think she'll choose in the end?

My kids are all
grown and on their own, one is even married and will probably have a kid of his own one day soon. But they are still my kids and I still revell in their accomplishments and I'm just as proud as I was the day they were born, when they took those first steps and spoke those first words. They are still my kids.

Sometimes, I look at my little guy, and he's so much like me I don't know whether to laugh or cry.. Strong willed.

The parent teaches the child all the while learning from the child. Nice post, Jen.
