Kay-Ren, yeah we could all use a little cheer right about now.
How about ice cream for everybody?

No question about it
Definately Group A. I have helped a few people in my life while others stood by and watched. Human suffering is not something that should occur due to someone else's lack of humanity. Wild animals belong in a cage.

THE POEM IS DOWN.. WOOT! Just thought I'd spread some of the cheer. Yes, I agree, that some issues have been raised and it is good that we are dealing with them. Perhaps the next time someone plagiarizes, gods I hope it isn't any time soon, more people will stand up and say, "Hey, that's not right." I'm proud that so many did stand up and say that this time. I think we have just created the Blogit Community Watch Program.

Bravo for voicing your thoughts!

This is an excellent little allegory. I'm not ashamed to be in Group A on this one. I also predict some kind of shakeup before too long! The Group Bs and Cs will be hard-pressed to justify their positions when the same situation arises again, and it's their possessions that are taken. Perhaps this is already happening, except they don't realize it. There are other sites where people get paid for their writing, and non-members don't know what's being posted. How hard would it be to lift a blog or two from Blogit and put it somewhere else, somewhere that isn't 100% accessible?

Try it sometime, people. Google your name, an unusual phrase, the first line or even the title from one of your more popular poems or posts, and see what turns up. You might be shocked to discover where your work is being used! Or how open and available it is. Good luck.

Kay-Ren, no I know you didn't, I was just saying I guess I hoped you
wouldn't ever be sorry, no matter how many bullets you might take because of it.

Quirky, I didn't say I was sorry for being in group A, did I? I just said that I hope I am. I don't like to assume, cause you know what assuming does. It makes an ass out of u and me. My grandpa taught me that.

Scriber, that's absolutely correct, esp. since the author specifically
states on her website that the poem is not to be used without her permission. Thank you for commenting.

shadow, thank you and...wouldn't that be nice? But don't hold your breath.
It's been said that some of us have gotten "carried away." As if.

there is no doubt she should erase the material she didn't write.

Kay-Ren, group A is good. Never EVER apologize for being in group A!

Quirky,

Really good post. Maybe it will swing a few over from sitting on the sidelines in Group C to Group A and join us in at least voicing how we feel on the issue. Blogit belongs to all of us who write, not just a few. We all pay our dues to participate and you know, I'm not talking money, but our time and effort to keep our works and each other's works from harm. Shadow

lackadaisial, sure you do. I just read your comment
on Joos blog that said you agreed with chris2303, who agreed that kay-ren should get her own life. That sounds like group B to me. Am I wrong? I'd really love to be...

I hope I am in Group A. When I took CPR, the instructor, who was also a nurse, told a story about an accident she was in. This is how I remember her story. She told us to pass the story on, so here it is.

She was bleeding and penned in her car with another car upside down on her car's hood. Cars passed by. No one stopped. She thinks that she passed out at least once before she managed to reach her cell phone to call 911. Hers was the first call. She said, always call when you see trouble, if you can't stop to help. Don't assume someone else is taking care of the problem. That could be your mother, or your brother, or your future wife in that car, and if it isn't yours, it is someone elses loved one.

If we all believed in helping out each other our world would be a much nicer place to live in. Great post, Quirky.

My husband is in group B
My mother in-law is in group C.  Me, I don't belong to any goups.  Never have.
