The writing audience
Rankings are overrated. One should write recreationally for an audience of one--the author--and if others liek it, then so be it. Write what you want, when you want, how you want. Don't compare your writing to the next person, and don't concern yourself with the rankings, because they're simply not important. How YOU feel about your blogging is the important part.
This coming from an engineer, whose writing exploits are limited to technical reports...
