What goes around really does come around ...
You made his day; he also made yours. There's a lot more than money being exchanged here. I read hope, confidence, belief in one's own worth. What an uplifting chapter in this story! I predict it isn't quite finished yet.

It's so hard to be nice and forgiving, isn't it? But the pay-off is always amazing! This sort of restores my beliefs in human kindness. Thought it had gone the way of the dinosaurs.

there's probably a very lewd joke in there
but because I am on lack of sleep courtesy of two small females and excessive blogging I can't think of one.  But that's part of my charm, no? tg

distorting the english language

is a specialty of mine, though my brother Chico was a master mangler.  "Viaduct" became "why a duck" -- and why not a duck, or a grouch, or a feist, or a heist, or a zeitgeist?  tg

It is always good to treat another with generosity when they expect
you to treat them like a racoon.  The world needs more encouragement toward friendliness because strangers are so often hateful.

What a great ending for the story. A good deed is worth more then a thousand bad deals. Congrats, Quirky.
