The problem is that when I was in the military working full time I still had to get up in the middle of the night to take care of Mikey. Even when I was pregnant with Nicky. I would try to get hubby to get up and help but he would last maybe 10 minutes and then wake me up and say he can't handle it.

Why would he think that...
you each have a day job yours is Housemom; that doesn't mean that you shouldn't share the evening work with the kids...

I guess that's the trade off. Are you able to get some sleep during the day? If you can get the kids to nap at the same time that will give you an opportunity to get some rest too.
