Here's my take....

Suze Orman's philosophies of investing sound to me like a twelve-step method of nothingness. Books that try to shape the attitude of an investor do nothing to help those same investors put their money where it's safe. I believe the only spiritual value of wealth (if there is such a thing) for an investor is what she does with it. A "touchy feely" book on the courage to be wealthy misses the mark. In my opinion, you are far ahead of the game reading books by successful investors using tried-and-true methods, not vague concepts. My recommendation is to read useful books like Beating the Street and One Up On Wall Street by Peter Lynch or anything written on Warren Buffet's investment strategies. While so many people are reading books by "nice" people like Orman, no one is getting advice on where to put their money. The advice she doles out on her television and radio shows can be obtained from any local investement advisor. There exist also a few notable newsletters that have outperformed the market by a long shot that could help you attain critical mass, too! Let me know of anything specific Suze Orman has written that was her own unique idea or actually boosted your net worth. I'm genuinely interested!

I just ordered her new book
I don't know much about Suze Orman but really liked the Courage to be Rich, and so ordered her latest book. I'm assuming she applies her common sense approach to investing as well? Would be interested to hear your thoughts.
