The veil of the temple was literally torn in to the moment that Jesus died. True, it was symbolic of some other things, but it did also actually happen as did the rest of the Bible. Your opinion is just that:  an opinion. It's not solid fact, but merely what you believe.

Often we think our beliefs will change reality, but they have absolutely no effect upon reality, except for how the belief effects your own individual life.

Humans are so arrogant that they often forget this truth.

I said this in a comment to one of Ariala's blogs.
I feel it is relevent here as well.  Christians get too wrapped up in the specific words.  The concepts are what is truly important, not the choice of words.  Sometimes the specific details, like in the case of the ripped veil, don't even matter.  The concept that the ripped veil represents is much more significant.  I am probably just making your point from a different angle.  I enjoy your writing, it always gives me something to think about.
