enemies made
Reagan did not have enemies so much as he made himself an enemy. He started out of the gate in attack mode.
In the process, he rolled back decades of progress for working people, human rights, justice in the world, etc.
The list is so long of how he destroyed the underpinnings of society and began our long decline into the present state of affairs (an economy that is held up only by virtue of easy credit and cheap goods made out of the U.S., where two people have to work to maintain less than what one person could before -- a world where our country is distrusted and hated and held as an aggressor and oppressor rather than a liberator, etc.) that it would take up more room than the Encyclopedia Brittanica.
Put him on the 20 dollar bill and I will refuse to accept them.

United States of Amnesia
This week the American sheeple followed their inept, lying leader to the Raygun grief-o-rama. Gore Vidal is right: this is the United States of Amnesia, and all you care about is that he was an amiable guy who told a good joke. He should have stayed in the movie business (although he was a lousy actor too, but that way, he would have done much less harm to the world).
