Nala's husband here: As it is often said, "If you're not a Liberal at 20, you have no heart...if you're not a Conservative at 40, you have no head." I love my Liberal wife. She's the only Lib I can tolerate, and I am not an intolerant man.

Good for you, nala! It's too easy to stereotype liberals as being nasty, crude, bigoted and so forth because of the terrible behavior of the ones who seem to get all the press coverage. More power to you in putting them to shame. Thanks for reading!

Although my husband calls me a liberal, I must say this is a beautiful post. If I am a liberal, I am one with optimism and not much hatred.

I read some of the vitriol you describe slamming Ronald Reagan and I had to through my two cents in. And I'm not even an American. He was a great man who left an indelable mark on the world.

Nice post

You provided a lot of insight. It's amazing how sick some people are and the internet gives them a forum to express it. No matter how much I disagree with Bill Clinton, when he passes, I would NEVER say something like "f- him, I'm figuratively pissing on his grave". That is just sick, sick, sick, SICK! I do think it brings to light the childishness of the far-gone extreme leftists who just think it's hip to be that outragously disrespectful.
