Has to be in fixed form. Print it and save it. Register it?

Try copyright.com

But kidnykid is right about it being copyrighted the moment it leaves Your finger tips, provided it is Your original thought, not a quote; although an original analysis around a quote is protected.

It should be pretty secure here at BN because everything is time stamped as it is saved.  That is all You need to prove You own it, something showing it came from You before it was used by someone else.

There is of course a whole school of thought about whether there are any original thoughts.  But that discussion is more philosophical than legal.

Good Blogging

Another thing...
Written material is already copyrighted as of the moment you write it - it's just that copyright infringement is difficult to prove unless you fill out the requisite paperwork through the government. Just make sure you put (c)2003 (or whatever year) Your Name (fill in either your BN screen name or your real name, whichever you feel comfortable using) at the end of each post.

How to copyright work

We suggest searching the Internet for full details on how to copyright your work. For instance, in some locations, a good starting point is to add a "Copyright (c) 2003 Your Name. All rights reserved." notice to your work.
