I think there's a difference between inspired writers and saying all words
are the actual words of God. I believe in the first, but not the latter.

Hi westwend!
While I don't believe every verse and word of the bible applies to me in the here and now, I don't believe that I can necessarily pick and choose which ones apply to me. As I read I certainly cannot ignore the ones that my heart is telling me apply to me in some real way. There are some verses that are repugnant to us nowadays and I don't necessarily know how to reconcile them with our sensibilities, but they certainly do not negate the verses that do speak to me. I am adding your blog to my favorites.
