Wow! Thanks
Thanks for the great insight!  It's always great to get another's point of view, especially where grief and emotion are concerned.  After reading your post today I talked to my father and he expressed some of the same feelings I had.  Between your comment and speaking with my father I really feel validated and consequently, less angry.  Thanks for welcoming me!

I think your feelings are completely normal. Someone you love is gone. She is no longer the person she knew. Hope, born of confusion, keeps us going back, and doing what we can to improve their life. Because we love them, we can't stop, even when our rational mind tells us that it isn't going to get better. Every time you talk to her, you are mourning her. You hurt that the faint hope you constantly hold isn't realized. We can't give up hope, but we can't let it control our lives. It's a fine line to walk.

Even if your hope is not fulfilled this life, perhaps it will next life. If she isn't in her body anymore, then she's probably watching, and feeling bad for your pain. My only advice would be to talk to her spirit. Welcome to Blogit and remember you are not being selfish by feeling pain.
