Schatz, I finally found time to read your profile

while we have a world of differences, we also have a great deal in common.  I love your posts and you always offer superb comments.  You seem like a really great lady!

Someone gave me The Prophet several years ago, as a gift.

I don't think you should move in with his parents!!!

I am not religious, but I am very Spirtual, and I will be praying for you for guidance and opportunities.

Peace and Luv,

WHAMMIE

If you're going to move anyway, why not move back to Michigan where your family is?

What would you need to 'make it'?  Would a couple of hundred dollars a month work?    Find another family in the same straights you're in, and offer to trade off watching kids for free.   Get a paper route.   Clean churches.   Offer to be a wedding coordinator for a big church - you can make $250 a wedding, for a four hour commitment.  Bartend on the weekends.  Sell stuff on Ebay.  One of the women I work with makes about $600 a month doing that.

Oh Schatz! The things we do for love. In Texas, the state will provide child care for mothers who need to work but can't afford to pay the full cost. Maybe California has something like that. Wish I had won the $70 million bucks. I'd fix you up with a butt-load of cash for whatever ails you. Good luck, girl!

I lived in Sacramento area

3 years.  My credits just transferred, went from about 60 to 30   Not only is college reasonable but there are many great things about CA, as well as some not so great...such is life.

I can understand being out on the limb 'alone" though.  It is tough.  And so hard to meet cool people I have been so desperate lately I think about approaching people and talking in the grocery store   Then there is the child care and reluctancy to release them to day care...I KNOW.  And I had to do the food banks after my ex left, gosh I may have to do that again, oh well.  I 'm okay with it because I have worked most of my short life and will work the rest so in essence you pay it back.  And don't forget to participate in being the giver, I missed the postal can pick-up this time.  I'm bloggling comments whew.

Stay where you are sister
Find a way to chill his ranting about moving back and move the focus to solution.  We are kinda in the same boat.  But I regret leaving CA, that is when my marriage/life catapulted.
