we have two different sources here.
The one source has the list of begats, etc. That's a mark of I think the Priestly source.
Then we have the "J" source, for Jahvist, using the YHVH, or LORD, and you find that there is a repeat of events.
You can see in the first that Terah leaves for Canaan. In the second, YHVH tells Abram to leave.
You've got to watch for these repeats that often contradict one another.
