Bearden, you just made my night!
Wow, that goes down in history as the greatest comment I have ever received here. Thank you so much-- you have definitely inspired me. I broke into the biggest grin while reading it-- thank you.  Wooo hooo, greaseland, here I come!!!

If wishes were horses...

I wished my supervisor would be transferred and she was--to Iraq.  Seriously. I'm feeling a bit guilty about that.

Don't worry too much about being unemployed. I'm a firm believer in synchronicity.  Things happen at just the right time for a particular reason.  Say you take a (temporary ) job at Mickey D's. Maybe one day, near the end of your shift, a guy comes in and orders fries.  A fresh batch is cooking.  While the guy's waiting the two of you chat. (It's a slow night.)  The guy mentions that he's a literary agent or that he owns a publishing house and he's looking for new talent.  You just happen to have something that you jotted down on the back of a kiddie menu during your break.  He reads it, he likes it, he wants to read more.  Next thing you know you're doing book signings at the Barnes and Noble across the street from Mickey D's.

Wildwoman:
Wow, thanks! I don't think I really thought about it like that yet... Thank you--I will do my best to live up to that.

Dances
see your definition for motivation.  Now you are forced to find something else, be it writing or whatever.  It was your blessing

Thanks Passion!
I hope you are right! There are so many things lying around here at home with loose ends... I will work on the writing first and get to the odd things when I have time... Should be a nice change from doing everything else and writing when I have time!

Congratulations on your new unemployment. You'll do great, I'm sure. At least you'll get some writing done now, some real writing.
