Marvelous!

Man, I would have loved to have been one of those college boys. What description. I’m mad!

VIVA, thanks for the compliments on my use of description, taking you there
?? Snappy cold sunny winter days and youth! Boys and girls and connections, no matter how fragile, in the sea of time's waves. Gracias Katze

Temple, your "I was conceived in that love cloud" was so sweet. Many

many children were. One minute I was a bachelorette, a baby girl and single, the next minute, married, pregnant, divorced, pregnant.....anyway, I spun around in a dizzying circle and there were three and finally four children standing there calling me Mom and wrestling together on the floor.

Now that I'm a grandmother, with wispy traces of the love cloud trailing beind me like thin, vaporous ribbons in the air, breaking off and melting away, I try to remember some of the wonderful things and re-create them with the grandchildren. That mountain meadow is still there.

It also allows me to empathize with young lovers today.  Lighting candles for both you and billy.

I was concieved during that love cloud.
Too much for even my straight-laced mother to resist (who didn't smoke a joint until I was in my 20s and my aunt talked her into it....wish I could have seen that!).  He sounds so beautiful...so do you.  "Old" or not, I bet you still are.  I refuse to see a woman who loves sex and men as promiscuous.  Sex is only bad from a religious perspective.  Tibetian Buddhists believe that connection is part of the path to enlightment, even if not done totally in line with tantra.  I'm so glad to see you writing so much!  I send love to you and your family, I hope your Mom is well.  Billy got a job assignment today, finally, so he will be feeling more grounded soon.  I'm sure he'll post about it soon.  We thank you for your love and thoughts and candles, Abuelita.

maj, the first generation of girls who could say 'yes' and sow wild oats
like the boys had been doing for centuries. It was a very strange time to grow up. There seemed to be a 'love cloud' hanging over the campuses and cities at the time. And then, we had had all of the older men growing their hair long and wearing Nehru collared shirts to try to breathe in some of that 'youthful love cloud'. Cynthia's was more of a study, a community life style development project with its adherents.......mine was just ???random acts of kindness??? Sure! I'll call it that now and forget the promiscuity label. I miss her stories, too.

Obi Juan Kenobi, not 'can I feel your legs' but 'can I touch your nylons!'

Much more interesting request, no? A fellow has to stand out to get attention and unique requests are intriguing. Boys! The lines they think up.

firahz, your name sounds so poetically Persian to me. Sunny winters full
of laughter are a big part of my University memories. Thanks for the comments.

Your reminisences make me miss "Cynthia"s posts. Same times, different continents.
