Alt, all comedians are, at one time or another, advised by parents and
teachers to 'get a real job' as are we artists and many musicians, poets and philosophers. Comedians are truly sociologists and anthropologists and writers, philosophers and more. They must observe in such detail, put their fingers on the pulse of the world and make their diagnosis, offering finally, with sweet love and sometimes an acid tongue, the medicine that they have found to cure our ills or, in the least part, ease our symptoms.
One of the things that I love about human beings is their ability to laugh at themselves and at their problems and to make us look again at something and then to laugh with them.
