I checked it out, nice info to have re. BU research
As u suspected, my approach is that of a sensitive writer, specially a serious poet. My sensations are not memory-induced; with synesthetes, it's a way of perceiving that's so "sensational." Thanks Tam.

Oh of course....Just the phrasing made me think perhaps you were referring to a tactile experience rather than a virtual one.

Here is some info on synesthesia, if you're not familiar with the term.

I'm tempted to say the former, unless
I am given the choice between physiology and psychology. Is it okay, Tamara99, for poetry to have these unexpected sensations?

Are you being poetic or are you a synesthete?

Tamara, I'd like very much to lie and say YES
but I'm not the friend/acquaintance u mention. I love poetry because I taste it and feel the words in my hands

Uh oh - does the name Lobsterman mean anything to you????????????????

Actually, I *do* know what a Cinquain is *lol*   I co-wrote a beautiful piece with another poet about 10 years ago via a great conversation.    Never heard anyone else talk about them.....and if YOU are Lobsterman, then it was YOU!

Ha!

Cinquain - 5 line poem with
its own requirements. No, not a form of haiku. There's also a quatrain, 4 line poems etc. Thanks for reading.

So is this a Cinquain? A form of Haiku?
