You get the point
with the writer of the story other people existed at the same time as Cain and Abel.
There is nothing that says that Adam and Eve weren't the only people on Earth at that time -- this is just assumed. You read a story about two people -- book, whatever -- see a movie -- you might see only the two people in the story but you know there are others outside the story.
This is the same.

I have asked questions about The Land of Nod, Lilith and Seth until I am blue in the face and NOT ONE so-called biblical expert will answer them. I've even been told that Satan is putting the words into my mouth. The simple fact is, they KNOW that what these things tells us is obvious, so they can't answer them. They simply cannot face up to the truth, so they avoid it. I bet they are really angry at whoever forgot to remove that part of Genesis when they were taking out all the other discrepancies that gave the real truth away. What a slip-up THAT was.
